Fifth Grade


Should be able to:

  • use line to create contour drawings from observation
  • use process of gridding as a reference to enlarge an image to drawing paper.
  • use line to create a variety of patterns, designs, textures and shapes in 2D artwork
  • draw a portrait that shows technical skills using pencil, shading, and 3 values
  • create a mixed media painting
  • use primary colors to create secondary, and intermediate colors
  • show an understanding of color schemes (identify primary, secondary, intermediate, analogous, warm, cool, tint, shade, and monochromatic colors)
  • show an understanding of blending

Knowledge and Concepts
